Now! is your time

Hello once again! I believe you have enjoyed God in every way. I am so glad you could make this date with the Lord today. I can assure you that God has some good things packaged for you. You will not leave this column the same way you started, in the name of Jesus!Have you noticed, that people are always desiring to be something or someone else other than themselves? The kids want to be teenagers, the teenagers want to be adults, while the aged strive to look younger. Also, the slim people are taking medications to make them fat, while the fat ones are on diets to be slim. The single person wants to be married quickly and the married wish they could have the freedom of the single ones… what a paradox! Due to these needs, each one is unable to appreciate his or her present state. What could be the cause of this? Why the discontentment with one’s present condition? This dissatisfaction, results from a lack of understanding of times and seasons. To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1)If you do not know the time or season of a thing, it is likely that you do not know its function. According to Dr. Myles Munroe, "where the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable".THIS IS YOUR SEASON!… I write to you young men because you are strong and vigorous… (1 John 2:14, Amp)The youthful season is characterized by strength, vigour, vitality, excitement, dynamism, creativity and much more. This youthful period reflects lots of energy, liveliness and speedy growth. You are young and full of life! Use your strength and creativity to contribute to your generation. No matter how strong a ninety year old man is, he will never be given a chance in the football team. You are young! Channel your resources in the right direction. Stop trying to be someone else or be some where else. Performing exploits is not a function of place but a function of personality. Joseph and Daniel who became top officials in strange lands, are testimonies to this truth. Enjoy your youthfulness because it is just a season.During the fruit season, certain fruits are found in abundance and at considerably cheap prices. It is therefore left for you to avail yourself the opportunity of using them because once the season goes, the fruits become scarce and expensive (if found at all). Similarly, there are so many things you can do now that you may not be able to or not be allowed to do when this season changes. It is rather unfortunate to see young people use their God given abilities to sniff drugs, rob banks, gamble and partake in all forms of immorality. It is sad to see creative minds used to dupe people, manufacture fake drugs, play costly tricks with people’s lives and then end up in jail as notorious criminals or non-entities. What a shame! But I thank God for you because your story is different and something good is coming out of you to your world. If you stumbled on this column, then you stumbled in the right direction and your life is taking a new shape from this moment forward! And of the children of Issachar, [which were men] that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do… (1 Chronicles 12:32)Understanding times and seasons directs your actions. Knowing the difference between the planting season and the harvesting season, aids the farmer on what to do and when to go about it.Knowing your season and its purpose brings about fulfillment and maximization. Welcome to your season! This is your time of manifestation! Arise! Dream dreams, write books, make artworks, preach the gospel, build hospitals, sing your songs, break new grounds, go to school, learn something new, manufacture products, invent equipment, do the unthinkable, strive for excellence and use this season wisely because you will soon move into another season.ARISE AND TAKE CHARGE!FOOD FOR THOUGHTAt age 10, you should have known right from wrong. At age 20, you should have understood responsibility. At age 30, you should have discovered and begun the pursuit of vision. At age 40, you should be known for “something”.
